The beginning of Johnson Contracting, Inc. started in April of 1977 when David Johnson started out on his own as a grading and excavating contractor doing business as David N. Johnson Construction and Trucking. Over the years he expanded and developed the company into a well known and respected firm handling government contracts for many municipalities as well as the Croatan National Forest, Cherry Point, and Camp Lejeune Military Bases. In the fall of 2001 Jeremy Johnson, his son, acquired his Highway Contractors license further expanding the company and it's scope of work. They continued to further expand the company until it became time to incorporate in the fall of 2006 when the company was reorganized into Johnson Contracting, Inc. In the fall of 2008 Jeremy passed the North Carolina Building Contractors exam which enabled the company to launch a new land development division. In the spring of 2009 they started building new residential homes in Maysville, NC. Our goal is to provide our customers with quality homes that meets their families needs.
